Expressions of interest and enrolment

Currently Family ConnectionsTM (NEA BPD) NZ Inc provides in person programs in, Waitemata, Auckland, Counties Manukau, Whakatane, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Wellington and Invercargill. We currently run around 25 in person courses a year across these locations. Family ConnectionsTM groups are delivered through partnerships between trained family members, approved NGO’s and Health NZ District Mental Health and Addiction services. For some Family ConnectionsTM groups, entry is limited to whānau members of people currently accessing specialist mental health services due to internal referral pressure, service criteria, or lack of capacity for trained staff to deliver more groups. Other groups do not have this criteria.

We are currently looking for expressions of interest from whānau to attend courses in these geographical areas, as well as from outside these locations so we can strategically extend Family ConnectionsTM into all areas nationally.

For enrolments or general enquiries, please complete Family ConnectionsTM(NEABPD) NZ Inc expression of interest form. We will then communicate with you about when the next programme will be running in your area or when online options to attend the programme may be available to you.

Requirements for Participation

  • Family ConnectionsTM is for family/whānau members and loved ones, not for the person experiencing BPD or pervasive emotion dysregulation;Participants must be 18 or older;
  • The person with BPD or pervasive emotion dysregulation must be 13 or older;
  • A formal BPD diagnosis is not required—many people experience pervasive emotion dysregulation or traits of BPD without ever receiving a diagnosis;
  • Each participant must apply separately (even family/whānau members attending together);
  • Please apply only once using your preferred email address.
When you submit your application, you will be added to our class notification list. You will be notified by email when it’s your turn to enrol.
